Principles of IT
Note:  During class, I will be calling you up to have you sign in to our a Principles of IT website that the district has provided us.  

Finish up all coding assignments. 
Go to www.typingclub.com and create a free account using your school information.
Begin going through the lessons.

  • At the end of lesson 4, you must make a 99% or 100%.  
  • If you do not, you must reset and try again.  
  • I will not grade it until you have a 99% or 100%.  
  • When you make 99% or 100%, take a screenshot (Windows key + "PRT SCN").  It will be saved to your screenshot folder and I will come around and grade it.  
  • Once you have taken a screenshot continue on to the next lesson.
  • Keep going!
Programming 1:
Finish up all coding assignments. 

Digital Media:
  1. Click this link to find a folder of coloring pages.  Download one to your download folder.
  2. Go to this site and choose a color palette you like.
  3. Download the image of the color palette (right click on the image and save as) to your Download folder.
  4. Go to Pixlr.com and click "open Pixlr editor."
  5. Open the coloring page and your color palette with Pixlr.
  6. Use the paint bucket tool to color in your Mosaic using only the colors in the color palette.
    • Note:  you will be using the eye drop tool and the paint bucket tool.
  7. Save your image!  Download it to your download folder.

  • After clicking the link, sign in with your school email account and school information.
  • You may choose any design except "dynamic."
  • Title your blog:  Your first name, last initial's Digital Media Learning Blog
    • Example:  Linda M's Learning Blog
2.  For your first post, write a few sentences about who you are (without using any names or identifiers), age, grade, and how you will be using this blog.
  • Example:
  • My name is Linda Miller and I am a high school junior.  I will be using this blog to document my learning in Digital Media.
3.  For your second post, take a screenshot of your blog and upload it.  Write 2-3 sentences about the process of creating the blog.

  • Example:
  • Today I created a blog to document my learning process.  To create the blog, I had to decide on a name and a design.  The process was somewhat confusing because there were a lot of details.

4.  Brainstorm with partner activities to fulfill the TEKS for Digital Media.
