So, I've been wondering why my students have been having such a hard time uploading videos to their blogs, and I finally figured it out: it's our firewall. What's a firewall? It's basically a wall the district sets up to block students from viewing bad things. In this case, it's not allowing us to upload video because it thinks we're trying to get to Youtube. So here's the workaround:
- Go to teachertube.com and get a free account.
- Upload your video to teachertube.
- When your video is published, there will be a box beneath the video with the words "Embeddable Player"
- Click inside the box, select all the "code" and copy it.
- Go to your blog and create a new post.
- Over on the left there is a button called HTML. Click it.
- Paste your code.
- Publish.
